Tourism Joint Venture

Navua, a small rural town situated on the Navua River, about 40 minutes from the capital city of Suva, 10 minutes from Pacific Harbour, and two hours from the Nadi International airport frequently receives tourists every year. Tourists are here to see the beautiful mountains of Namosi Highland and its different coloured wild birds. Tourists travel up the river by outboard motors to track the mountains and see the highland villages and kayak down the streams.

In Navua town there are 3 major landing for tourists who travel up the river, those who travel to outer island and vice versa, and there is a road depot for tourist traveling by vehicle to mountains for tracks and kayaking.

The proposed Edge Water Tourist Centre will be a stop over to traveling tourists and there will be entertainment for returning tourists from their tour. The centre will have a coffee shop and internet café; restaurant; handicraft centre; and flower shop. There will be a place near the centre where tourists can sit and watch river activities and local movements. The centre will be managed by skilled and qualified team.

A sea wall can be built to beautify the river edge. A water scooter is also available to tourists who wish to scoot to the coast line or to visit some upper villages.

This tourist centre can provide tour to some untouched destination in the highland and also accommodate wondering tourists. Marketing can be done locally and internationally.
