Mindpearl Limited
Mindpearl Ltd is a global provider of call-centre services to the aviation industry. The company was established in 1999 with the objective of providing call centre services to a consortium of 11 airlines flying globally to over 400 destinations, across all time zones.
The Mindpearl Call Centre commenced operations at the Kalabu Tax Free Zone (KTFZ) in Nasinu, which is operated and administered by the Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau (Investment Fiji) on 1st November 2009, with approximately 40 call centre attendants to cater for our contract with Air Pacific and Pacific Sun.
KTFZ provides Mindpearl with a world class ICT facility, secure working environment with 24 hour, 7 days a week onsite security, fully fenced perimeter, as well as telecommunications infrastructure that is on par with international standards through fibre-optic cabling laid at the Zone. We are also provided with onsite maintenance support service which provides us with that extra peace of mind.
The Call Centre facility features two floors and comprises five individual call-centres, a server room with fibre-optic connections, kitchen and toilet/shower facilities, training rooms, administration and executive offices, interview rooms and a recreation room for staff and is also supported by standby power and water supply to ensure continuous operation 24 hour, 7 days a week. The facility can accommodate close to 700 employees at any one time and has a total floor area of approximately 60,000 sqft.
Investment Fiji has been of assistance to Mindpearl by initially coordinating and linking us with relevant ICT companies already established in Fiji, such as ANZ Pacific Operations at KTFZ, and subsequently refurbishing and leasing this state-of-the-art facility which we are currently occupying, within agreed timeframes and at competitive rates.
The support received from Investment Fiji has provided us with invaluable information in formulating our initial investment plans for Fiji as well as providing a solid platform to commence our business in Fiji within an excellent facility. This assistance has also ensured that we have successfully commenced operations in Fiji to the satisfaction of our valued clients.
I understand that Fiji has firmly set a goal of growing its ICT sector and Mindpearl is certainly a willing partner in achieving this mutually beneficial objective. We hope that the commencement of Mindpearl’s operations at KTFZ, which is an addition to our existing offices in Capetown, Barcelona and Brisbane will be a significant boost for Fiji moving forward by way of providing many benefits for the economy through employment creation, contribution to Fiji’s foreign exchange earnings and therefore helping to further increase economic growth and development in Fiji.
