The Prime Minister’s EYA is an annual event organised by the Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau (Investment Fiji) on behalf of the Prime Minister to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Fiji’s exporters and the important role they play in the economy. The Awards rewards and profiles the best of the best businesses in exporting around the country and has significantly contributed to the development and diversification of Fiji’s exports.

The Awards rewards and profiles the best of the best businesses in exporting around the country and has significantly contributed to the development and diversification of Fiji’s exports.
2009 event witnessed a change in the major sponsor, when Telecom Fiji Limited succeeded DHL who had been the main sponsor for 10 years. With the generous sponsorship from 17 companies and organisations, the 2009 Awards proved to be a huge success.
The Hall of Fame Award was introduced in 2009 to acknowledge the continuous efforts of companies committed to improving Fiji’s trade status and have a proven established track record as a past winner of the Awards. The first ever inductee to the TFL Hall of Fame, Pure Fiji was presented the prestigious award. Altogether there were 18 Awards at stake, with the fusion of two categories, namely the Unique or Emerging Exporter of the Year Award.
The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama officiated as Chief Guest at the event which was held at the Intercontinental Resort and Spa on November 7th. Recipients of awards were:
