The Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau (FTIB) in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will be organizing a Fiji-China Trade and Investment Forum next week Monday 18th April 2011, from 10.00am at the Holiday Inn.

The thirty six member delegation comprising of government officials and members of leading private sector organizations from China will be visiting to explore potential trade and investment opportunities available in Fiji. The Bureau is also organizing a business-to-business meeting with local business entrepreneurs who have been invited to this Forum.

FTIB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ravuni Uluilakeba says “investment is the best way to build and develop a nation, so we must provide and an appropriate environment for the visiting delegation to enter the Fiji market.” He further mentions that “this forum will enable participants to discover new market opportunities, establish contacts, exchange experience and explore international investment trends”.

FTIB will be the point of contact and will continue to facilitate and provide the assistance needed by potential investors.
