Seminar for Exporters & EYA Exhibition

The Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau (FTIB) is organizing a one-day seminar in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa to create awareness on procedures exporters need to adhere to, in order to achieve exports success in the international trade arena. With the theme “Building Export Success in a Competitive Global Economy” the Seminar aims to address challenges faced by Fijian exporters while entering the global market.

 

The Seminar will also feature an exhibition allowing winners and sponsors from the 2010 TFL Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Awards to display and promote their award-winning products and services. Given the importance of exports to the Fijian economy, the objectives of this exhibition is to showcase Fiji’s top exporters who have become role models for various exporters in Fiji. Their continuous drive to achieve success in overseas markets is an evident contribution to the Fijian economy. These Award winning exporters also encourage Fijian business entrepreneurs to strive for success in overseas markets.   

 

FTIB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ravuni Uluilakeba says “The Bureau continually seeks to identify new and innovative ways to increase the level of trade and investment in Fiji. This Seminar & Exhibition is just one further example to show how exports allow firms to enhance their competitiveness, provide opportunities for growth and innovation as well as technology transfer, diversify their revenue base, benefit from economies of scale and of course increase profits”.
