Fiji Tourism Investment Summit 2023

Fiji has enjoyed extraordinary growth since reopening its borders in December 2021 following the COVID-19 hiatus. As of end of 2022, a total of 636,312 tourists had visited Fiji, which is well above initial forecasts. By 2024, the tourism sector is projected to grow to a FJ$3 billion industry as markets in Asia open up and new markets, including Canada, come on stream. It is anticipated that by the end of 2024, there will be up to 1 million tourists visiting Fiji. As a result, Fiji needs more resort and hotel investments to keep up with demand and take advantage of the increased interest in the country.

Investment Fiji in conjunction with Tourism Fiji is hosting the Fiji Tourism Investment Summit 2023, whereby 50 key investors will be invited to Fiji to participate in a 3-day summit featuring the opportunities for investment in Fiji’s tourism sector.

The Summit will bring together representatives from Fiji’s tourism industry, government, investment, and real estate industries to provide investors with the very latest information on what government incentives exist, where the current opportunities are, the gaps that exist and where growth will come from in the tourism sector. This would be achieved through a series of presentations, panel discussions, breakout sessions and familiarization trips.
